This resource is intended to walk pools (and your members) through the various federal cyber resources that are available to state and local governments. The document is organized in “steps” which are our recommendations (with input from staff at the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency) on the best order to complete these actions. We also took into account the manageability of completing the different actions when deciding their order. As you will see, there are links to various CISA and DHS resources, as well as information on third-party vendors that RISC and Mutual recommend our members use for various cyber needs. We have also included a page which outlines basic cyber hygiene tips that are relevant to both your pool, and your membership.
