- Arrivals begin Hotel Californian, 36 State Street
- 4:30-6:00 p.m. Gather at the lobby bar Djinn reserved for welcome cocktails and conversation. You’re welcome to meet-up prior to your departure for the Dine Around reservation times. Join as you are able.
- 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Departures begin from the hotel to the respective Dine Around locations within walking distance of the hotel. An email will be shared closer to the meeting date with your Dine Around assignment and other details, if applicable.
- 5:15 – 8:30 p.m. Dine Around dinners with various reservation times as seen with the descriptions. Dine Around assignments are based on preferences shared with your registration form.

Located in the heart of the Funk Zone for over 10 years, this restaurant creates its menu from locally sourced and responsibly grown seasonal ingredients. The unique space features original lighting, handmade furniture and a nod to its industrial history of the neighborhood. Even their drink menu includes seasonal fruits and mixers.
Loquita

Reservation time: 5:30pm
This authentic Spanish restaurant was a highlight of my site visit. Guests will enjoy a family-style meal on their heated patio. Pitchers of sangria will welcome guests, if you wish to partake, before enjoying delicious tapas and paella options along with other dishes and dessert. Other drinks available include a wine list of Spanish and local wines.

This premier beachfront Sushi restaurant will provide an unforgettable dining experience. The Asian-inspired menu offers our group entrée choices of OKU-style short ribs, OKU fried rice, or sushi platter with a rainbow roll, crouching tiger, and shinobi roll to enjoy with appetizers, dessert, and cocktails.
Rare Society

Distance from hotel: 4-minute walk
Reservation time: 6:00pm
The restaurant, part of the restaurant group that pays homage to retro steakhouses, is located in the heart of the Funk Zone. Private dining space has been reserved to enjoy a three-course dinner with entrée choices of filet mignon, spiced pork tomahawk, or king salmon.

Santa Barbara Winery Tasting in the Funk Zone

A hosted wine pairing will be offered to those who wish to experience tastings with chocolate and cheese. Established in 1962, Santa Barbara Winery is the oldest commercial winery in the famous Santa Barbara County wine region. The tasting room will welcome our group with several tasting areas for individuals to rotate around for the samples and treats.

The Terrace has been reserved for a three-course meal featuring wine country cuisine made from ingredients “as fresh and as local as possible.” The bouchon serves exclusively wine and beer with non-alcohol options as well, but no hard liquor. You will enjoy their extensive wine menu to enhance the last night in Santa Barbara.
